So, the question of the day is: Can sunrises be shared alone?
There are times when we all need a reminder that we are individuals before we are anyone else. Even if our role as a sister, friend, or wife might define who we are, there has to be those moments when we need to step back to reflect in order to get back on track; to return to our individuality.
Sure, sunrises can be shared alone. That’s the moment when the most purest of beauty strikes the eye and finds a place in memory. Is it better to share with someone? Absolutely. But when that someone isn’t there, you need to still take care of yourself.
Part of this journey is the ability to spend time alone. To find my own sunrises, sunsets and moon glows. I can let someone steal them from me to share with others, but what can’t be taken is the interpretation.
The best of our writing will be in these moments. It’s the moment you are okay with stepping back to see what’s past the horizon that will make you a better writer.
